Introduction

To our wonderful parents and guardians: As you have already found out, raising children is a remarkable experience - wonderful, challenging, exciting, humbling, and frightening all at the same time! What can be done to make the experience worth the challenge? Make sure that your child gets to heaven! One of the best ways to accomplish this is to teach them lessons from the Bible (Deut. 6:6,7; Eph. 6:4). Let them see that the Bible characters are in many ways just like they are afraid and courageous, happy and sad, contented or needy, weak and strong, obedient and disobedient, wise and foolish. Then, teach them how to choose the wiser course of action when they have choices to make. Click on the Children’s Activity Page link and you will find Scripture references to read with your child. There are also various activities you can download and print for them to do afterward as a way of reinforcing the lesson. A new lesson will be posted at regular intervals. It is sincerely hoped that these materials, along with your daily instruction and examples of obedience, will be of help to you and your family in your goal to get to heaven, there to be united with those great Bible characters of old who, before you, successfully faced their challenges and overcame (Heb. 11; 12:1,2).
